All services are subject to a separate written agreement, quote, or work order agreed upon between you and Dunrite Flooring before work begins.
2. Quotes & Estimates
Free Estimates: Quotes and estimates provided through our website or by phone are free of charge and are not a binding contract.
Quote Validity: Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date issued, unless otherwise stated. Material prices, availability, and project scope may affect the final price.
Scope Changes: If the scope of work changes after a quote is accepted (e.g., unforeseen subfloor issues, additional area, or material changes), we will discuss and agree on any price adjustments with you before proceeding.
No Work Without Agreement: We will not begin any work until a quote or work order has been agreed upon by both parties.
3. Payment Terms
Deposits: Depending on the size and nature of the project, a deposit may be required before work begins. Deposit amounts will be clearly outlined in your written quote or work order.
Final Payment: Final payment is due upon completion of the work, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Accepted Methods: We accept cash, e-Transfer, and other payment methods as agreed upon at the time of booking.
Late Payments: Invoices not paid within 14 days of the due date may be subject to interest or late fees, as permitted under Ontario law.
4. Scheduling & Cancellations
Scheduling: Project start dates are scheduled based on mutual availability and are subject to change due to weather, material delays, or other factors beyond our control.
Customer Cancellations: If you need to cancel or reschedule, please notify us as soon as possible. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours notice may result in forfeiture of any deposit paid.
Our Right to Reschedule: We reserve the right to reschedule work due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., illness, material delays, emergencies). We will notify you promptly and work to find the earliest available alternative date.
5. Customer Responsibilities
To ensure a smooth installation, you agree to:
Provide safe and reasonable access to the work area on the scheduled date
Remove furniture, personal belongings, and existing floor coverings unless removal is specifically included in your written quote
Ensure the site is in a safe, clean, and suitable condition for work to begin
Promptly communicate any concerns or changes to the agreed scope of work
Provide accurate information about the property and project requirements when requesting a quote
6. Workmanship Warranty
Warranty Coverage: We stand behind the quality of our work. Dunrite Flooring provides a workmanship warranty on all completed installations. Warranty terms will be specified in your written quote or project agreement.
What Is Covered: The warranty covers defects in installation workmanship (e.g., tiles lifting, grout failures, or improper alignment caused by our work).
What Is Not Covered: The warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, improper maintenance, water damage beyond normal conditions, structural issues with the property, or defects in materials supplied by the customer.
Material Warranties: Manufacturer warranties on flooring materials are separate from our workmanship warranty. We will help direct you to the appropriate manufacturer if a material defect occurs.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Ontario law:
Dunrite Flooring's total liability for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the specific project giving rise to the claim.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of use, loss of income, or damage to personal property not caused directly by our negligence.
We are not responsible for pre-existing conditions at the property (e.g., water damage, structural defects, or inadequate subfloors) that are not disclosed to us before work begins.
